Disaster-Prone Areas Can Produce Oil and Gas
Bengkulu-TAMBANG. J. Widjonarko, Acting Head of the Special Unit for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas), said that he believed the potential for oil and gas in disaster-prone areas could be exploited. With existing technologies, production of oil and gas in regions which are earthquake-prone, in particular with under the sea or tectonic earthquakes,could eventually be performed.

Fuel Scarcity: Direct Impact Of Subsidy Control?
Jakarta-TAMBANG. Vice President of Corporate Communications of PT. Pertamina, Ali Mundakir, recently stated that based on the 2014 State Budget, the quota of subsidized fuel would be reduced from 48 million kilo liter (KL) to 46 million KL. Therefore, Pertamina is forced to control the quota on daily basis in order to ensure that subsidized fuel is adequate until end of 2014.

Cepu Block’s Banyu Urip Project 90 Percent Completed
Jakarta-TAMBANG. The development of Cepu Block’s Banyu Urip oil and gas project in Bojonegoro, East Java, has reached 90% completion until the third week of August 2014. One of the progresses is the establishment of a floating storage and offloading (FSO) facility there, named Gagak Remang,which was officially introduced to the public by Jero Wacik, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) at Singapore’s Sembawang Shipyard, recently.
